Inbound is retiring the free plan.

But we aren't doing this to be annoying...

Inbound is retiring the free plan.

Inbound is retiring the free plan.

I know, it's hard to hear, but this isn't a shameless rug pull. Actually, the opposite.

Inbound has been growing a lot recently, and most of that growth has been on free-tier accounts using significant resources. This has driven up our server and compute costs with upstream providers. But cost isn't the only reason we're making this change.

We're bootstrapped, not VC-backed. We haven't raised hundreds of thousands (or millions) of dollars for runway. We have no intention of raising funds. We want to build a sustainable service at an affordable rate—one you can trust will be around for years to come.

Here's what this change unlocks:

  • Better support — When you have an issue, I can actually give you the attention you deserve instead of triaging hundreds of free accounts.

  • Better reliability — We're scaling up infrastructure, including SMTP support for more flexibility.

  • Better security — SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance are on the roadmap. These protections matter, and we want to offer them to everyone.

The new Starter plan is $4/month. That's it. Cancel anytime.

I genuinely believe this is the right path to build something that lasts, for you and for us.
